Crawler - Physiotherapy Scooter for children with developmental delay
Crawler is a physiotherapy Scooter design, to help children with developmental disabilities learn to crawl.
The design process was accompanies with physiotherapy specialists and developmental psychologists
During the design process, a lot of mock ups were examined with the help of some local kindergartens.
This product won 1st place in Handitec competition (Design for the disabled), Paris, 2012
Explaining Study Case to Students at Holon Institute of Technology (Hebrew)
Design principles which guided me:
+ This product should be manufactured in small scale production, but still be affordable for parents of children with special needs
+ The product should look like a children's toy, rather than a physiotherapy instrument so it would blend in the everyday surroundings of the family.
The design should fit small scale production technologies and yet be affordable for parents
